Bill Lee is the beekeeper behind Breezy Acres Apiary in Manistique, Michigan. After retiring from a career in the oil and gas industry, he finally had the opportunity to pursue a long-standing interest in beekeeping. What began as a personal passion has grown into a dedicated apiary focused on raising healthy bees and producing natural, raw honey.
Bill primarily operates the apiary himself, with support from his wife, Sandy. Together they take pride in caring for their bees and the work that goes into producing high-quality honey and bees.

Breezy Acres Apiary was established in 2017 when Bill Lee turned a longtime interest in beekeeping into a hands-on pursuit after retiring from the oil and gas industry. What began as a hobby soon grew into a small operation built on patience, continued learning, and a genuine passion for working with bees.
Today, the apiary focuses on producing local raw honey that is natural and unadulterated, reflecting a commitment to careful hive management and responsible beekeeping practices. Bill regularly attends beekeeping conventions and educational events to stay connected with the broader beekeeping community and continue expanding his knowledge.
With support from his wife, Sandy and the Russian Honey Bee Breeders Association, Breezy Acres Apiary continues to grow, with hopes of expanding its offerings in the future.
